Disputing a Will

Validity of a Will is successfully disputed

Contentious probate partner, Naomi Ireson, has once again succeeded in disputing a Will and negotiating a highly favourable settlement.

Her client, Mr R, challenged the validity of his late mother’s Will. He had been the sole beneficiary under his mother’s previous Will, but when she updated her Will she disinherited him.

Mr R contacted Naomi for guidance on what he could do about being left out of his mother’s last Will. Unfortunately the estate had already been distributed by the time he contacted us, which limited his options. Nevertheless Naomi agreed to take on the case and was successful in negotiating a settlement which saw Mr R receiving the entire balance of the estate, amounting to a five figure sum. He also received a contribution towards his legal costs.

This was another excellent result for Naomi and the team, and Mr R was delighted with the outcome.
